From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant was exceptional. The food was of outstanding quality every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with the freshest ingredients. You could taste the care and creativity in every bite. The service was absolutely spot on. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They struck the perfect balance between being professional and personable, making us feel welcome without ever being intrusive. And the atmosphere Just perfect. Whether it was the soft lighting, the ambient music, or the cozy yet elegant decor, everything came together to create a space that felt both relaxed and special. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and you just enjoy the moment. Truly a memorable experience I can’t wait to come back!
We visited The Waterside to celebrate a family birthday. It was a lovely setting and the staff were friendly upon arrival, however we were disappointed to be kept waiting two hours for our mains (a few of our party had starters but the mains appeared over an hour after these were cleared away) and one of the burgers was served rare/cold in the middle. This did get replaced but was then served without the burger extras that were ordered initially. Drinks orders were taken regularly but we had to ask four times for some water. The manager did come over and apologise, explaining that they had a large party come in just before us, however this shouldn't mean that another party of paying customers (and the food isn't cheap) are kept waiting for their meals. The burger was removed from the bill and we were offered two free Sunday dinners but unfortunately we came away feeling disappointed with the whole experience, particularly as we had read good reviews and had high hopes for our evening there.
WOW... WHO COOKS LIKE THAT..... 10/10 Vegetarian SUNDAY ROAST DINNER, Including a portion of beautifully prepared and sliced Roast Beef for our baby Chihuahua Ted! From walking in requesting if I could take Teddy into the garden area, to paying the EXTREMELY reasonably priced bill for what I would say is EASILY Award winning food ... It was effortless, a dream and nothing was too much trouble for the lady behind the bar, owner Lisa and her team. I have been visiting this beautiful, boutique, stunningly decorated restaurant for years, But THIS PARTICULAR Chef EXCEEDED ALL THE REST! Blown away and would highly recommend a visit. Rain or Shine they have covered EVERY angle including outdoor heaters and stunning blankets and cushions for those grey days, uncovered areas for the sun seekers and a stunning inside restaurant for the evening's where you want a little cosy but elegant experience. A beautiful magical cabin seats private parties of which today a Baby shower was happening and it looked like something out of OK Magazine! Lisa has maintained such a stunning eatery and menu, with friendly, welcoming and soul warming service, with a Chef that exceeds all expectations. You can tell he was born to cook! Can't wait for next Sunday... Don't even think about going... JUST GO!
Lovely busy sunny day, food was delicious, we opted for the small plates menu. Our food arrived quickly, well prepared and beautifully presented. Each dish was so fresh and full of flavour. My favourite was the croquettes , they were so tasty in a lovely tasting sauce and the beef we chose was so tender and perfectly cooked. The staff are always so helpful, we tried so many different seating areas today, ,a bit like musical chairs , till we found our perfect spot, and still, the staff were so pleasant and didn't mind one bit ,helping us to feel comfortable , it was just us wanting every little bit of sunshine we could pinch. There are plenty of seating areas to choose from indoors and out. The outside area is so lovely and cosy. If you want somewhere welcoming with a lovely ambience ,nice staff and delicious food, then I'd highly reccomend.
Been back after covid and after they had a fire. The food was Soo much better then I remember before very good portion sizes, amazing flavours and reasonably priced. Loved the gyoza and burger very tasty! Excellent service and very attentive staff. With each course they came and asked if everything was ok and made sure our glasses were never empty. Superb evening
